BIPOC Student Mental Health & Well-being Retreat Sign Up
A retreat for Middlebury BIPOC students focused on thriving in spaces historically not made for BIPOC students, navigating imposter syndrome, and finding your voice, your people and belonging. 

Participants will receive well-being giveaways, opportunities to interact with Middlebury Counseling and Health & Wellness Education staff during guided break activities on the breadloaf campus, snacks and a catered dinner! 

Date: Saturday March 9th
Time: 11:00am-6:00pm
Transportation: Bus leaving from ADK circle at 10:30am, and returning to campus by 6:30pm. Students can also drive themselves
Location: Brealoaf Campus, Ripton VT
Meals: Catered Lunch and Dinner and Snacks Included (location TBD)
Facilitator:  Stacey Diane Arañez Litam PhD , visiting Mental Health Counselor

Facilitator Bio: Stacey Diane Arañez Litam PhD (she/her/siya) is an Assistant Professor of Counselor Education at Cleveland State University, a licensed professional clinical counselor and supervisor, as well as a clinical sexologist with the American Board of Sexology. Dr. Litam is a member of the Forbes Health Advisory Board and an Advisory Council Member for the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) Minority Fellowship Program. Dr. Litam specializes on topics related to supporting BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and other people of color) and QTNB (Queer, Trans, and Non-Binary) individuals, as well as, trauma experiences, sex/ual/ity concerns, and Asian American Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AANHPI) issues. Dr. Litam’s work has been featured in Forbes Health, National Public Radio (NPR), Discovery Magazine, Psychology Today, National Institutes of Health, Mental Health Academy, as well as podcasts, documentaries, and news outlets. She is an immigrant and identifies as a Chinese and Filipina American woman. Dr. Litam approaches her work through strength-based and liberatory frameworks that decolonize traditional beliefs about mental health and well-being while centering the importance of culture and community.
