Inspired by the popular storytelling phenomenon The Moth, Cocoon is a special evening of true stories told live and without notes.
This year’s edition, on the theme of “Rebuilding,” will feature six storytellers: Middlebury students Keziah Wilde ’24 and Luna Simone-Gonzalez ’24, Assistant Director of the Anderson Freeman Center Janae Due, Student Life Dean Scott Barnicle, Senior Assistant Director of Admissions Steve Zatarain ’15, and community member Christopher Ross.

Come on up to the Middlebury College Snow Bowl for scenic foliage hiking and lawn games (inc: disc golf, croquet, horseshoes, and corn-hole). Staff will be on-site to orient you to hiking routes (such as Lake Pleiad) from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Fall Family Weekend visitors are invited to make free reservations to visit the Middlebury College Museum of Art’s recently reinstalled permanent collection galleries and special exhibitions, “Art & Protest: Artists as Agents of Social Change” and “A New Lens: Contemporary Video & Animation.” Spaces are limited and advance reservations are STRONGLY encouraged.

Fall Family Weekend visitors are invited to join student guides for a walking tour of Middlebury’s outdoor sculpture collection. Highlights of this 90-minute tour will include works by Shahzia Sikander, Vito Acconci, Joseph Beuys, Jules Olitski, Dan Graham, and Michael Singer.
- Although this entire tour will be outdoors, participants will be expected to wear masks at all times. Thank you for your cooperation.
- Tour will happen rain or shine; please plan accordingly.
