    In summer, the internationally recognized Language Schools offer intensive immersion instruction in thirteen languages. We also offer English in Monterey, California. The Language Schools have graduate programs in ten languages and students have the option to study abroad, online, or at Monterey, depending on the language.

    Undergraduates can enroll in one of our Schools Abroad, which operate in 38 locations in 16 countries. Students can choose to study abroad for a semester or an entire year and benefit from a highly immersive cultural experience.

  • Middlebury Institute of International Studies

    MIIS integrates language into all of their internationally focused master’s degrees. Students can pursue degrees in translation, interpretation, localization, and language teaching. Students focused on international development, trade, and environmental policy, and nonproliferation, terrorism, and financial crime take content based courses in their target language.
