Winter Term Workshop: Intro to Beatboxing and Vocal Percussion
Ever wanted to learn to beatbox? Join an a cappella group? Pick up a party trick? Expand your musical talent? This is the place for you!
This workshop will be a basic introduction to techniques in vocal percussion, also known as beatboxing or mouth drumming. We will learn the fundamentals of various common drum patterns, sound production, ensemble skills, maintaining tempo, and explore advanced techniques.
Students with any level of music or singing experience are encouraged to join. Skills are applicable to a wide range of solo music as well as ensembles such as a cappella groups.
