0200 FEMINIST FOUNDATIONS

Fall 2017

This course is a great introduction for anyone who wants to know more about feminism and its history in the United States.  You will learn about the intersections of race, gender, class, and sexual orientation and how each of those categories affect women's experiences.  Taught by Sujata Moorti.

0225 FEMINIST BLOGGING

Fall 2017

Curious about feminism?  Love blogging?  This is the class for you!  Learn about how blogging lends itself to the intersectional nature of feminism and how it can be used as a feminist tool.  You'll even get to write your own feminist blog!  Taught by Laurie Essig.

0289 INTRODUCTION TO QUEER CRITIQUE

Spring 2018

This course focuses on queer theory and activism in the United States as well as around the world.  You will examine representations of queerness as well as participate in engaged projects that allow you to get hands on experience with queer critue.  Taught by Carly Thomsen

PLANNED PARENTHOOD ORIENTATION

October 19, 2017

Feminist Action at Middlebury: Generation Action is pleased to Welcome Planned Parenthood of Northern New England's VT Public Affairs Organizer, Paige Feeser, who will give a basic introduction to the work of PP, review the political landscapre and its impact on access to health care for millions of Americans, and provide direct (and easy!) ways you can become an activist in this movement. No previous experience required and questions welcome.
