December/2013

Welcome to December!

If you are feeling the same as many of us here at The Wellness Corporation, you are also finding it hard to believe another year has come and gone.

This last year has had some very tragic and impactful events, often causing many of us to feel somewhat disoriented and stressed. This month's newsletter features several resources that can be helpful in regaining a sense of equilibrium and even wellbeing.  Features include Balanced Living focusing on the Power of Forgiveness, the Wellness Tip offering Winter Health reminders, and the  Did you Know...flyer reviewing Wellness Work/Life program benefits for Holiday Stress.  This newsletter also features Holiday Safety Tips and Minimizing Holiday Weight Gain in the Wellness Exchange.

We hope that you have a joy-filled holiday season. Please remember to take time to appreciate what is important to you, and remember that the Wellness Work/Life Program is ready and available whenever you need resources and support.

How did it get so late so soon? It's night before it's afternoon.   December is here before it's June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon? - Dr. Seuss

December's Work/Life Webinar

The Sandwich Generation

Presented by Christine Walchuck

Most employees today will face having to take care of an elderly relative while they are still working and taking care of their own families. This is known as the "Sandwich Generation." In December's webinar, we will discuss how to collect information, communicate with compassion, be proactive and respectful and how to cope with the issues that this generation faces everyday.

Christine Walchuck began her career in the field of Career Planning and Placement; providing career counseling, developing and presenting group workshops, and managing student internships. She received a BS in Psychology and an MS in Education from Fordham University and is a certified DDI instructor in Targeted Selection and Interaction Management. Chris has worked with the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and is a qualified instructor of the MBTI.
