What is Words Unsaid? This is a social change theatre piece that focuses upon conversations that are hard to have. We hope to:
1) inspire our audience to approach difficult conversations 2) give them techniques that can then be used in their daily life 3) connect people to additional resources Why is communication important?Racism, global warming, gun violence, the refugee crisis, feminism, animal rights, respect from one's family … as we sit down and share the various changes that we individually want to see within our societies and worlds today, we found one common thread underneath these disparate concerns. That is, our common desire to share with someone in our personal life these hopes and fears, as well as the regret for having missed the opportunities to engage in difficult conversations. In this piece, we explore the potentials for social change within our individual lives, starting from confronting the difficult conversations we had or want to have.

Anyone, anywhere, can start an initiative of change by applying the words of Mahatma Gandhi: Be the change you want to see in the world. If you want to see an end to corruption, start by being scrupulously honest yourself. If you want to see peace in the world, start within your own family. If you care about the environment, start looking at your own patterns of consumption and waste." -Initiatives of Change International
