Gliese 581 g

Within the Libra constellation, Gliese 581 g is potentially host to a wealth of knowledge that can inform our understanding of exoplanets that can sustain life. This exoplanet is tidally locked to the star, meaning that the side facing the star is always basking in light while the other face of the planet is in endless darkness. The line between the shadow and light is called the terminator, the most habitable zone on the surface. This blue planet watercolor was inspired by Earth-like imagery.
