MiddCAM 2024 Mentor Application
Thank you for your interest in our mentoring program! Middlebury College Access Mentors works with students from Middlebury Union High School and Mt. Abraham Union High School to support their college application process, and typically entails a commitment, in-person or virtual, of 2-4 brief meetings per month (but varies across mentor / mentee parings).

Once you have returned your completed application, MiddCAM will contact your references. Please note that it is good practice to contact the people you plan to use as references, especially if you have not been in touch with them recently. You also will be required to complete a criminal background check, which includes fingerprinting at the Addison County Sheriff’s Department. We will be in touch with you about this process at a later date.

Our volunteer screening process consists of a criminal background check and two reference checks. Please do not list relatives for your personal references. A reference could be a professor, coach, advisor, mentor, or supervisor --- somebody who can speak to your ability to work with young people and follow through on commitments. Do not list friends/peers.
