Success!
The Middlebury Match challenge generated more gifts for the College in the last week of March than in any other week ever.

More than 3,400 alumni responded to two challenges—one issued by Chair of the Board Marna Whittington P’99 and her husband Tom P’99, and another by Trustee Susie Scher ’86—securing an additional $150,000 of funding for financial aid.

Add that to the $700,000 of alumni gifts, and that’s $850,000 we can put to work right away, helping students from all backgrounds make the most of their opportunities, inside and outside the classroom.

What a difference alumni gifts can make! Thank you.
More gifts than any other week, EVER.
More than 3,400 alumni rose to the challenge, almost doubling
the initial goal of 1,800. That's about 1,000 more gifts in 7 days
than any other week in Middlebury College history.

More than $850,000 for students.
All gifts to Middlebury counted towards the challenge.
Here's where alumni targeted their dollars during that week.

Gifts of any size really add up.
Gifts of $250 or less added up to more than $236,000!
Every gift also counted towards participation—an important
measure of alumni satisfaction with Middlebury.

Increased alumni participation.
The overwhelming loyalty of Middlebury alumni brought us
to 39% alumni participation so far this year. We still need 4,278 donors by
June 30 to hit our participation goal of 56%. Give your strongest
endorsement by making a gift of any size every year.

Just remember, your gifts to
Middlebury really matter.
Thank you!
