    Belmont Hill School

I attended a small college preparatory high school in Belmont, Massachusetts. Academically, I took a vast range of courses, but found a passion for computer science while taking my school's pilot AP Computer Science course during my junior year (an adapted version of the Harvard CS50 class). Additionally, I enjoyed a senior year Statistics class that gave me a new lens through which to look at the world: statistics and numbers. It was after this course when I knew I wanted to further pursue Computer Science in college. Extracurricularly, starting in 7th grade, I played soccer, squash, and baseball. However, in 9th grade, I fell in love with three new sports: cross country, nordic skiing, and track & field. I made the varsity team for all three sports my freshmen year, which led me down the road to competing at the collegiate level.

    GE

During a summer internship, I worked for Dr. David Barash on combatting the Opioid Epidemic in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, focusing on creating an overdose risk prediction algorithm using Machine Learning, building a campaign to tackle stigma of substance use disorders, and creating prevention resources for youth, teens, and adults.
