The Middlebury Institute of International Studies (MIIS) is a graduate school of Middlebury College and training ground for developing and implementing practical solutions. Our world-renowned experts train students to advance understanding, promote peace, and drive change in pursuit of a more just world. Our programs are designed to give students professional experience, intercultural competence, and career-relevant fluency in a second language. We have in-person programs in beautiful Monterey, California, and online programs that emphasize meaningful engagement with faculty. 

Middlebury alumni and their extended family—including alumni spouses, siblings, parents, children and stepchildren, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews—are guaranteed $10,000 affiliation scholarships.

Participants in Middlebury nondegree programs are guaranteed $5,000 affiliation scholarships.
