TEDxMiddlebury Student Speaker Competition
Submit your idea for the TEDxMiddlebury student speaker competition. You'll have up to 4 minutes to speak to a small audience in Crossroads Cafe on a topic that is connected to our theme, Playing the Game.
We all play “the game” in one way or another, and we want to highlight the ways in which each of us learns to navigate these games and, by extension, the systems that surround us. This event is about questioning the different strategies we might use and our varying definitions of what success can be. It is about the various personas we take on to ‘win’ different rounds, about being honest in the face of expectations, and about deciding whether or not to play by the rules. It is about experiencing moments of defeat and deciding to keep playing, and about knowing when and why we quit.
The winner will get to deliver a TEDx talk at the TEDxMiddlebury conference on Sunday, November 13th, as well as have your talk featured on the TEDx website. Fill this out by Sunday, October 2nd by 11:59pm and we'll get back to you with the details.
