Connect with a Learning Resources Advisor

The majority of Middlebury students utilize CTLR services, which are provided free as part of a comprehensive Middlebury experience. Learning Resources staff work with students on academic development in all disciplines and at every stage of their Middlebury education.

We approach our work with students with sensitivity to neurodiversity issues, identities, and diversities.

ACE Peer Tutors

Most students benefit by initially meeting with an ACE (Academic Consultant for Excellence). ACEs are experienced Middlebury students who can share time management tools and other strategies for balancing academic work and self care.

Professional Staff

For issues such as neurodiversity, professional staff are available to meet.

Collaborating with Faculty

Learning Resources collaborates with faculty on professional development opportunities to design innovative, effective teaching environments, and refine faculty’s workload and time management. This in turn impacts students workload and time management through strategic syllabi development.

In addition, with faculty and the deans in Student Life, Learning Resources implements prevention and intervention initiatives for students who are at academic risk. The Director also works one-on-one with students who face challenges related to learning style or learning disabilities.
